Nonquon convenience store robbed Print

Durham Regional Police investigators are appealing for information leading to the identity of a lone masked male armed with a baseball bat, who robbed a convenience store in Oshawa on the weekend.

On Saturday November 20, 2010 at approximately 9:40 p.m. officers from Central West Division responded to a robbery incident at the Oshawa Grand Convenience store on Nonquon Road. The female clerk was accosted by a lone male suspect wearing a disguise and yielding a baseball bat. The suspect jumped the customer counter and demanded the cash register be opened. The clerk complied and the suspect grabbed a quantity of cash before fleeing the store on foot in a northerly direction. The clerk dialed 9-1-1 and awaited police arrival. The victim was not physically injured during the incident.

The suspect is described as: male, white, 5’6”, 150 lbs, slim build wearing a facial disguise and dark clothing. The suspect was armed with a baseball bat.
