Holiday Open House at Northview PDF Print E-mail

The City of Oshawa is inviting all residents to get into the festive spirit and launch this holiday season at the Northview Community Centre’s Deck the Halls open house. This annual free event on Thursday, December 2, 2010 from 5 pm to 8 pm features a free evening of holiday activities for all ages.

The Deck the Halls Open House includes the official lighting of the Northview Christmas tree, children’s reindeer games and face painting. Santa’s workshop will be open featuring crafts for all ages. Additionally, memorable stories will be shared by the Elves at the Oshawa Public Libraries.

Children will have the opportunity to write a letter to Santa and to meet a special visitor from the North Pole. Dinner is also available at the Elves’ Eatery for a nominal fee.

The annual event is hosted by the City of Oshawa, Oshawa Senior Citizens Centres, Eastview Boys & Girls Club and the Oshawa Lawn Bowling Club.

The City of Oshawa encourages residents to support those in need this holiday season by bringing a non-perishable food item to the event. Food items will be donated to the Simcoe Hall Settlement House Food Bank.
